  I understand the problem Dr. Petersen had with Dena Jones. I prepare tax returns, and often a new client calls and wants to tell me how their brother-in-law escaped paying taxes, and I should be able to perform the same magic for them. Like Dr. Petersen, we just don't have time to hear endless stories about other people's experiences, no matter how important they may seem to the caller. I've researched Dr. Petersen and he seems to be top-notch. Even if he did hang up on the caller, he wasn't obligated to listen endlessly. He has other patients waiting. To his credit, he took the time to post a reply. Again, top notch.

  Dr. Petersen is a caring and skillful surgeon. He does not accept insurance, so there is no itemized billing. There is just a simple receipt. Since his prices are all-inclusive and there is no need to list every sponge and bandaid, which is what insurance companies require, his "bill" is simple and easy to understand. He and his staff do not waste time and resources dealing with the paperwork and beaurocracy that is required when third-party payers are involved. This allows him to spend his time practicing medicine and healing patients instead of worrying about jumping through hoops and navigating through the insurance quagmire to get paid. This is also why his prices are so much lower than you might expect. My husband has had the benefit of Dr. Petersen's expertise on three occasions. Twice for hernia repair and once for a gallbladder removal. There were complications which were handled with the highest regard for my husband's physical health and financial concerns. We trust Dr. Petersen's judgement and abilities. By paying him in advance and in full, we also got the benefit of a MUCH lower price than using insurance. He was able to concentrate on my husband's full recovery and not on what an insurance company clerk would allow. My husband and I are extremely happy with his experience and offer our highest recommendation for Dr. Petersen. Paying cash for medical procedures is the best way to get superior care. This is a small price to pay for the great results that we deserve.
