- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪In 2009 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy and radiation. 2 years later I was informed that the radiation had failed and that I had to have a mastectomy. Picked up my pathology report for mastectomy and found out surgeon for lumpectomy had left a deep margin of DCIS in me, which I'm sure is why the radiation failed. Neither Dr. Pomerantz nor my oncologist said a word to me about any of this! I was stunned to see it on report. I now have stage IV BC. I blame not only the surgeon, but my oncologist and Dr. Pomerantz for their silence. They should have protected me and they didn't! I am terrified and cannot understand why NOTHING was said to me, that no concern was voiced whatsoever! Explains why LV has a reputation for bad doctors.February 10, 2017by Sandra Hanson
